Polyclonal Antisera and Conjugated Antisera
Binding Site is a well known leading manufacturer of primary antibodies. The majority of our polyclonal antibodies are raised in sheep using a patented, innovative technique that results in highly specific antibodies. Each year we produce thousands of litres of antisera for our own use and as raw material for other manufacturers.
Immunogens used may be pure proteins, recombinant proteins or multiantigenic peptides and we manufacture antisera to 3 different grades: Whole serum grade; IgG fraction grade; Affinity purified grade. All antisera are supplied as liquid reagents, primarily in glycine buffered saline at pH7.4, and contain sodium azide, EACA, EDTA and benzamidine. All bulk reagents must be evaluated prior to purchase and we can reserve volumes for up to 4 weeks during evaluation periods. Many specificities are available as standard products in 1ml vials. These antisera and others are also available in larger volumes and may be customised.
Many antisera are also available conjugated to fluorescein, horseradish peroxidase (HRP) or biotin and may be suitable for use in immunohistology, indirect immunofluorescence, immunoblotting and enzyme immunoassay (EIA) techniques.
